Nightingale Ice Cream, a beloved Richmond-based brand known for its decadent ice cream sandwiches, is now available in more than 2,000 Kroger stores across the United States. This marks a significant expansion for the company, making its signature frozen treats more accessible than ever.
The ice cream company announced that five of its signature Chomp Size four-packs are now stocked in Kroger and its affiliated grocery chains. These include popular flavors like Cookie Monster, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Blackout, Banana Pudding, and Mocha Brownie, all available for the first time in the Chomp Size format.
Each of these mouth-watering varieties is made with 14% butterfat ice cream, freshly baked cookies, and a variety of homemade mix-ins and toppings. The company prides itself on small-batch production at its headquarters in Richmond, ensuring the highest quality and freshness.
Nightingale Ice Cream was founded by Xavier Meers, a Belgian-born chef, and Hannah Pollack, a talented Southern sous chef. The pair met when Meers moved to Richmond to open a restaurant. Their shared passion for exceptional cuisine led to their marriage and the creation of Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches, which combine delicious homemade ice cream with freshly baked cookies. Though the company has expanded nationally, it remains proud of its Southern roots and the expertise behind every treat.
