Maxi-Bon is adding a nostalgic twist to after-school snacks with the release of two new ice cream sandwich flavours: Hedgehog Slice and Vanilla Slice. These innovative treats bring together some of Australia’s favourite classic snacks, creating the ultimate sweet combination for those craving a taste of the past.
For fans of the lesser-known but beloved hedgehog slice, the new flavour offers a nostalgic bite. The rich, fudgy texture of the slice, combined with crunchy biscuits and layers of sweet chocolate, is now frozen and sandwiched between the signature Maxi-Bon ice cream layers.
On the sweeter side, the Vanilla Slice ice cream sandwich delivers all the creamy custard goodness of the classic bakery favourite. The indulgent vanilla flavour is enveloped in two layers of soft, ice-cream-filled biscuit, turning the iconic dessert into a cool, ready-to-eat treat.
These two new flavours join Maxi-Bon’s existing lineup, marking an exciting step in the evolution of Aussie snack culture. With after-school snacks getting an upgrade, the new ice cream sandwiches promise to take you back to simpler times — just grab one, turn on your favourite cartoons, and enjoy.
To celebrate the launch, Maxi-Bon will offer free ice cream sandwiches to the first 10,000 visitors at their pop-up event at June’s Shoppe in Sydney’s CBD. The event will take place from February 24 to 26 at 60 Carrington Street.
For those unable to attend, the new flavours will be available in major supermarkets starting February 17, with four-packs priced at $11.50 and single ice creams available for $5.60.
