When the new Neapolitan KitKat was first revealed, excitement buzzed around the pairing of strawberry and vanilla with the classic milk chocolate wafer. While initially uncertain about how the two bold flavors would pair, the pastel pink and soft white hues of the chocolate block set taste-testers at ease.
Upon sampling, the combination of strawberry, vanilla, and milk chocolate delivered a balanced experience. The strawberry and vanilla flavors come through strongly but are complemented by the crunch of the wafer and the richness of the milk chocolate. The result is a taste that immediately evokes nostalgia—like enjoying a treat from a blue tub as a child.
KitKat themselves described the flavor as “created to evoke a sense of nostalgia,” and many testers agreed they hit the mark. “It tastes EXACTLY like a Friday treat straight out of a blue tub,” one taster shared. Co-workers were quick to praise the new flavor, with Sophia calling it “so good!” and adding, “Neapolitan is lowkey underrated… and the strawberry kinda tasted like Nesquik.” Jacob, too, was on board, remarking on the classic strawberry smell and calling it “one of the better KitKat flavors,” though he noted that “KitKat Chunky” would still be tough to beat.
Not everyone was entirely convinced, however. Sam admitted that the strawberry flavor reminded them of “Pamol,” though others chimed in to say that they actually liked that taste as kids, suggesting it wasn’t a bad thing.
KitKat Neapolitan has earned its place near the top of the KitKat hierarchy, quickly becoming a favorite among fans, though it is notably sweet. For those who prefer to savor their chocolate over time, this flavor is a great choice. However, for those who tend to finish a whole block in one sitting, it might be a bit too rich.
