Unilever’s Magnum brand has launched a new line of marbled ice cream sticks, called “Utopia,” which promises to deliver its most luxurious and indulgent flavours to date.
The Utopia range features a cutting-edge marbling technology, creating a “multisensorial” experience with ice cream swirled with intricate layers and decadent sauces. Available in two new flavours, Double Cherry and Double Hazelnut, Magnum aims to elevate the ice cream experience for consumers.
Double Cherry combines marbled berry-flavoured panna ice cream with a tangy sour cherry coulis sauce, all encased in Magnum’s signature milk chocolate coating, and topped with crunchy, berry-flavoured sugar pieces. Meanwhile, Double Hazelnut blends hazelnut and caramel almond ice creams with salted hazelnut sauce, wrapped in thick white chocolate and sprinkled with salted caramelised hazelnut, almond, and pistachio pieces.
Daniel Lythgo, Magnum UK’s brand manager, commented, “We know that successful innovation is key to excite shoppers and drive category growth. With each launch, we continue to push the boundaries of indulgence, and our new marbled ice cream, paired with rich sauces and inclusions, delivers just that. Magnum Utopia Double Cherry and Hazelnut offers consumers a unique bite and flavour experience each time.”
This launch follows the success of Magnum’s 2024 “mood-inspired” offerings, including Euphoria Pink Lemonade and Chill Blueberry Cookie, with the Pink Lemonade variant being named the UK’s top new ice cream product launch in 2024, according to Nielsen data.
Magnum’s Utopia bars are now available at UK retailers for a recommended retail price of £2.30 for an 85ml bar or £4.25 for a three-pack multipack.
