Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream has rolled out a new flavor nationwide, marking the first addition to the chain’s 2025 lineup. Sticky Fingers, a rich and indulgent creation, is part of the company’s celebration of its 80th anniversary this year.
The flavor features smooth peanut butter ice cream combined with a decadent blend of caramel ripple, brownie chunks, and sea salt truffles. The inspiration behind this new treat came from Bruce Hill, a longtime franchisee who has been running Handel’s Stow location for 23 years. Hill is also known for creating popular flavors like s’mores, caramel apple, and vanilla caramel apple.
Sticky Fingers has been a favorite at the Stow and Cuyahoga Falls locations for the past few years, but now all of Handel’s 150 locations across 15 states will be serving it. Hill is confident that the flavor will be a hit nationwide, noting it was the best-seller for three months at the Stow shop. He recalled the inspiration for the creation, which began after a friend mentioned peanut butter ice cream with caramel and brownie pieces during a trip to Florida. Hill experimented with the combination and added salted caramel truffles to complete the flavor, earning approval from the previous owner to make it a menu item.
Sticky Fingers will be available for a limited time, but customers can look forward to more new flavor announcements throughout the year.
