Mangaluru, March 2, 2025 — Hangyo Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd. is on a mission to become the top ice cream brand in Karnataka, according to Managing Director Mr. Pradeep G. Pai, who spoke at a special event held at Avatar Hotel, Mangaluru, attended by the company’s distributors and retailers.
“Our vision is to become the No. 1 brand in the state,” Mr. Pai said, emphasizing the importance of growth and innovation in a competitive market. He highlighted that Hangyo is currently ranked as the second-largest ice cream brand in Karnataka and among the top 12 brands in India. “Our journey has been remarkable, and we are committed to reaching even greater heights,” he added.
A Legacy of Growth and Expansion
Founded in Brahmavara on February 1, 2003, Hangyo Ice Cream has experienced impressive growth. The company now operates in seven states: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, and Maharashtra. With over 410 distributors across these regions, Hangyo has become a prominent player in the Indian ice cream industry.
Mr. Pai expressed his gratitude to the distributors and retailers for their role in the brand’s success, stating, “Your unwavering support has been crucial in making Hangyo a household name. We look forward to reaching new milestones together.”
Expansion Plans and Industry Growth
Chief Operating Officer Mr. Dinesh Shenoy shared insights on the rapidly expanding ice cream industry in India, which generated INR 800-900 crore in revenue in 2024-2025. “Hangyo products are enjoyed by over 28 crore happy customers, and our two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities produce 1.25 lakh liters of ice cream daily,” he said.
Looking forward, Mr. Shenoy revealed plans to establish a third manufacturing facility in Tirupati, enhancing the brand’s production capabilities. “We are also integrating advanced technologies to improve operations and introduce innovative products,” he added.

In a significant brand collaboration, Hangyo Ice Cream unveiled a new logo to celebrate its ongoing partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the second consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The continued association reflects Hangyo’s strategy to engage with cricket fans and strengthen its brand presence across India.

As part of its efforts to diversify its product offerings, Hangyo launched ‘Choco Roadie,’ a premium addition to its popular RAVE series. The new flavor underscores the brand’s commitment to innovation and catering to the evolving tastes of its consumers.
