Baseball season is fast approaching, and Red Sox fans have a special treat to look forward to. Gifford’s Ice Cream has unveiled a new flavor, “Cookie Curveball,” designed to celebrate the upcoming season.
The new flavor, which was announced Tuesday, combines coffee-based ice cream with Oreo chunks and chocolate chips. “Cookie Curveball” adds to Gifford’s growing collection of ice cream flavors inspired by New England’s beloved sports teams, including the “Power Play Fudge” for the Bruins and “Dough Your Job” for the Patriots.
Gifford’s Chief Operating Officer, JC Gifford, shared that the partnership with local teams was a natural fit for the company, which has deep roots in New England sports culture. “My sisters, cousin, and I are all big sports fans. Our childhood was filled with sporting events, and the Red Sox, especially during the summer, were a big part of our lives—whether we were listening to games on the radio, attending them in person, or watching on TV,” Gifford said.
“Cookie Curveball” will soon be available at stores and scoop locations throughout New England. Fans can expect to enjoy the new flavor in the coming weeks, just in time for the start of the baseball season.
