As spring approaches, Blue Bell Creameries has introduced a new ice cream flavor to celebrate the season: Banana Fudge Ice Cream. This new treat features a combination of milk chocolate and banana-flavored ice cream swirled together, creating a nostalgic taste reminiscent of past frozen snack bars on a stick.
“We’re excited to offer our new Banana Fudge Ice Cream, which perfectly combines two popular flavors,” said Sara Schramm, Blue Bell’s marketing brand manager. “Chocolate and banana are beloved on their own, but when swirled together, they create an incredibly smooth and delicious dessert.”
Schramm also shared that the inspiration for the flavor came from consumer requests over the years to bring back the banana and chocolate frozen snack bars. “We decided to bring this combination back, but in a new form as an ice cream,” she explained.
The new flavor launch was teased on social media with a playful twist on Blue Bell’s iconic logo. The company posted an image of the logo against an orange background with a curvy yellow stripe down the middle, captioning it, “New logo? That’s bananas! It’s more like a new flavor clue.”
Fans quickly caught onto the clue, flooding social media with excitement. “Are you bringing the banana fudge back?????” one user asked. Another chimed in, saying, “Y’all better be bringing back the banana fudge bars or I’ll riot! We the people are SICK of waiting!”
Blue Bell’s Banana Fudge Ice Cream is available in both half-gallon and pint containers, but only for a limited time. The release follows the company’s recent introductions of other seasonal flavors, including Strawberry Toaster Pastry and Mardi Gras King Cake, which launched in celebration of National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day and Mardi Gras.
