Putz’s Creamy Whip Offers Free Ice Cream as Part of Annual Testing Event

WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) – It was a sweet and exciting day at Putz’s Creamy Whip in Westwood on Wednesday, as the beloved ice cream stand offered complimentary treats to customers for two hours.

The giveaway was part of the stand’s annual machine testing before its official reopening for the season. Local residents lined up to enjoy a taste of summer as the machines underwent their final tests.

Putz’s Creamy Whip, which originally began operating out of a pair of trolley cars back in 1938, will officially open for its 2025 season on March 24.
