AUSTIN (KXAN) — Zed’s Real Fruit Ice Cream is set to open its second location in Austin this spring, expanding its presence in the city. The Portland-based dessert shop, known for its unique New Zealand-style ice cream, will open a new store in the Tarrytown neighborhood at 2727 Exposition Blvd., Ste. 128, according to project documents.
The company’s first Austin location, which debuted in mid-2021, is situated at 1814 Harvey St. This new addition on the west side of town will bring Zed’s distinctive ice cream offerings to more local customers.
Zed’s confirmed the Tarrytown shop is expected to open in May through a social media post on Wednesday. The shop specializes in New Zealand-style ice cream, incorporating fresh fruit into its base, and also offers milkshakes, coffee, beer, and wine.
