As the first day of spring arrives, Dairy Queen is continuing its beloved tradition by offering customers a free small vanilla cone as part of its annual Free Cone Day celebration.
The promotion will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at participating Dairy Queen locations while supplies last. Customers can enjoy one complimentary cone per person, though the offer is not available for delivery via the DQ Rewards mobile app.
This year, Dairy Queen is also using Free Cone Day as an opportunity to give back. The fast food chain is partnering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, allowing customers to enhance their free cone experience by opting for a dipped coating for $1. All proceeds from these dipped cones will be donated to the nonprofit organization, which supports children’s hospitals across North America.
“Free Cone Day is by far one of our favorite days of the year,” said Maria Hokanson, Vice President of Marketing at Dairy Queen, in a news release. “There’s nothing sweeter than enjoying a tasty cone — on DQ — to kick off a season full of reasons to celebrate.”
