Mount Pleasant, Wis., April 2, 2025 — A 4-year-old boy in Wisconsin sparked a chilly situation last week when he dialed 911 on his mother, accusing her of eating his ice cream.

The adorable yet dramatic call took place on Tuesday, when the young boy from Mount Pleasant reached out to authorities, seeking justice for his dessert-swiping mom. “My mom is being bad,” he told a Racine County dispatcher. “Come and get my mommy, come get my mommy.”

As the dispatcher tried to figure out the emergency, the boy’s mother grabbed the phone to clarify the situation. “I ate his ice cream, so that’s probably why he’s calling 911,” she said, while the boy continued to protest in the background.

Upon hearing the call, Mount Pleasant police officers responded to the scene. However, when they arrived, the boy had a change of heart. Although still upset about the missing ice cream, he didn’t want his mother to face consequences.

The following day, the officers returned to the home, this time bringing a sweet peace offering: cups of ice cream, complete with blue sprinkles. A photo shared by the village police department shows the child happily holding the frozen treat with the two officers standing beside him, offering a lighthearted resolution to the chilly situation.
