In recent days, social media platforms have been abuzz with the circulation of several posts accompanied by a disturbing video allegedly depicting an ice cream vendor engaged in obscene behavior near his cart. The claim accompanying these posts suggests that the individual involved is a Muslim ice cream vendor contaminating ice cream with semen in Nekkonda, Telangana. However, upon investigation, the veracity of this claim has been called into question.
Conducting a thorough keyword search, we uncovered relevant news reports published on March 20, 2024. These reports shed light on the origin of the viral video, which indeed hails from Nekkonda, Warangal district of Telangana. Following the widespread dissemination of the obscene footage, law enforcement intervened, leading to the arrest of the individual implicated in the case. Contrary to the viral claim, the arrested individual has been identified as “Kaluram Kurabiya,” a resident of Rajasthan.
In our pursuit of further clarification, we reached out to M. Mahender, Sub-Inspector of Police at Nekkonda police station, who provided valuable insights into the matter. According to Mahender, an FIR has been lodged against the accused, Kaluram, under section 294 of the IPC. Additionally, Mahender refuted any religious association with the case, clarifying that there is no evidence to support claims of the accused being Muslim. This assertion is corroborated by the contents of the FIR, which lists Kaluram Kurabiya as the accused, without any mention of religious affiliation. Notably, the complainant in this case is identified as a Muslim.
In light of these findings, it is evident that the individual involved in the reprehensible act of contaminating ice cream with semen in Telangana is not of Muslim faith. Therefore, the viral claims attributing religious identity to the accused are deemed false.
In conclusion, this incident underscores the importance of fact-checking and exercising caution when sharing information on social media platforms, particularly when it pertains to sensitive matters such as religious identity and criminal activities.
