SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Land Park community is mourning the loss of Craig Rutledge, the cherished owner of Vic’s Ice Cream, a beloved Sacramento institution located on Riverside Boulevard. Rutledge’s passing was announced via a heartfelt social media post from the business.
Vic’s Ice Cream has held a special place in the hearts of locals since its establishment in 1947, serving as a cherished gathering spot for generations of families and friends.
“He was a wonderful man and a friend to so many,” expressed the shop in a poignant Facebook tribute. “His legacy will endure within the Land Park community. Craig will be deeply missed, yet his memory will remain vibrant.”
