Newmarket residents have a new spot to satisfy their sweet tooth with the recent opening of Sprinkled on Main, an ice cream parlor that promises delightful treats and a sprinkle of joy.
Sonny and Cassy Vasques, the creative minds behind Ginger and Clove and North of NOLA, unveiled their latest venture earlier this month at 80 Main Street. Offering a menu boasting classic hand-scooped flavors and innovative milkshakes, the Vasqueses aim to bring a taste of happiness to the community.
Inspired by their fond memories at the now-closed Savannah Kitchen and their desire to provide a local ice cream destination, the Vasqueses seized the opportunity when the 80 Main Street location became available.
Transforming the venue with vibrant pink walls, decor reminiscent of melting ice cream drips, and cozy countertop seating, Sprinkled on Main invites customers into a whimsical space where they are greeted by a neon sign declaring, “Life is Better with Sprinkles.”
The parlor offers a selection of 18 flavors sourced from Gifford’s Ice Cream in Maine and Richardson’s Ice Cream in Massachusetts, catering to both classic tastes and adventurous palates. Dairy-free options, such as chocolate almond yogurt and mango sorbet, are also available, with plans to expand the offerings for those with dietary restrictions.
A highlight of the menu is the indulgent milkshakes, with varieties like the Chocoholic featuring rich chocolate flavors accompanied by brownie chunks, chocolate wafer, whipped cream, and chocolate sprinkles. Other enticing options include Sprinkle Me Pink, Cookie Monster, Mud Bath, Over The Rainbow, and Show Me The Dough.
Embracing the community spirit, Sprinkled on Main employs three Winnacunnet High School juniors, Briana Tully, Aydin Welch, and Brooks Nabors, fostering a dynamic and enjoyable working environment for them. Sonny emphasizes his commitment to empowering local teens, providing them with valuable skills in business management and leadership.
Looking ahead, Sonny envisions Sprinkled on Main as a beloved local establishment, focused on delivering exceptional ice cream and fostering meaningful connections within the community.
