HONOLULU (Island News) — MOSA! has become the talk of Waikiki with its introduction of Taiwanese Peanut Ice Cream, a unique and tantalizing treat now available at their store.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning Hawaii Sunday, Jason Lin, the founder and chairman of MOSA!, along with Mickey Morikawa, Co-Owner of MOSA!, shared insights into their latest culinary offering. Lin recounted the origins of MOSA!, stating, “Right before I graduated from UCLA, I had this idea of opening a business of my own. Basically, I went around UCLA campus telling everybody I know that I wanted to open an ice cream shop somewhere. I was hosting tasting parties at the dorm kitchen every week. I convinced a couple of people but ended up doing it with my classmate Masaki, whom I met in the entrepreneur class at UCLA. After moving here in July last year, we did a couple of farmers markets including the Aloha Stadium swap meet. And after 6 months, we finally found a spot to open up a shop, so here we are in Waikiki. For all young entrepreneurs out there who are watching this, I just want to say, dreams do come true. You just gotta go for it! As long as you have the courage to speak on it, act on it, it will happen!”
With their dedication and perseverance, Lin and Morikawa have brought MOSA! to fruition, offering a delectable fusion of Taiwanese flavors to the vibrant streets of Waikiki. As MOSA! continues to captivate taste buds with its innovative creations, it remains a beacon of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs everywhere.
