JACKSON CENTER — Responding to popular demand, Mama J’s Pizza has introduced a new ice cream offering through a mobile cart stationed outside its Jackson Center location.
Hollie Johnson, also known as Mama J, brings her expertise from her primary location in Uniopolis, where she already serves Perry’s Ice Cream. The new cart will feature Perry’s Ice Cream, just like in Uniopolis.
While the mobile cart will not offer soft serve, this option remains available at the Uniopolis location. In addition to ice cream, the cart will sell various food items, including hot dogs, Bosco sticks, sandwiches, and nachos.
The ice cream cart had a soft opening over Memorial Day weekend. Although set hours of operation have not yet been established, Johnson mentioned she is experimenting with the concept and adjusting the schedule accordingly.
“As long as it is warm, we will be open for business,” Johnson said.
