Memphis, TN – Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a string of armed robberies in Memphis, including an incident where a woman carrying her one-year-old child was robbed at an ice cream shop.
The suspects, identified as Angelica Washington (25), Denisha Lewis (19), Deshun Lewis (18), and Calvin Langston (18), are facing various charges related to robbery and theft.
The investigation began on April 14th, when officers responded to a robbery at La Michoacana on Summer Avenue. A woman was reportedly assaulted and robbed of her diaper bag while carrying her infant child.
Further incidents occurred on May 25th, involving robberies at an Exxon gas station and an Aldi store, both located on Summer Avenue.
On May 27th, a woman was robbed at a Walgreens on South Perkins Road. A witness apprehended one of the suspects, Calvin Langston, who was identified as the owner of the Pontiac used in the robberies.
During searches of the vehicle and the residence of Denisha Lewis, stolen property and clothing from the robberies were recovered, leading to the arrests of all four suspects.
Angelica Washington and Deshun Lewis are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning, while Calvin Langston’s next court date is Wednesday and Denisha Lewis’ is on Friday.
