“Singapore’s Iconic Ice-Cream Bikes Embrace a Mad Max Makeover”

Warner Bros., in partnership with Havas Play, has merged the gritty world of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga with the streets of Singapore, transforming iconic ice-cream bikes into post-apocalyptic marvels.

Taking inspiration from Singapore’s ubiquitous ice-cream bike vendors, Havas Play crafted a functional ice-cream cart, aptly named the Sundae Scrapper, adorned with skulls, spikes, chains, and imposing exhaust pipes to capture attention for the movie.

Debuting on May 18 along the bustling sidewalk of 270 Orchard Road, the Sundae Scrapper offered free ice cream to fans and passersby who followed @warnerbrossg on social media and shared a photo of the cart.

In an interactive twist, participants who bellowed “Witness me!” into a decibel reader and reached a specific volume level earned exclusive movie premiums. The Sundae Scrapper also made a cameo at the premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga at Shaw Lido, where invited guests and key opinion leaders enjoyed complimentary ice cream and photo opportunities.

Overall, 657 ice creams and 90 premium items were distributed throughout the activation.

Kenny Yap, managing director of Havas Play, emphasized the importance of creating engaging events and activations in response to evolving audience expectations. He highlighted the Furiosa ice-cream cart as a prime example of merging online social content with culturally resonant offline encounters, aiming to deliver impactful experiences and capture attention by leveraging fan enthusiasm.
