SURFSIDE BEACH, SC — A new culinary gem has arrived in Surfside Beach, offering both early risers and night owls a delightful combination of coffee and ice cream. Scoops and Beans, located at 411 U.S. 17 Business, opened its doors on June 5th under the ownership of Andrew Romanov.
Originally from Ukraine and a resident of Myrtle Beach for 15 years, Romanov saw an opportunity to introduce something unique to Surfside Beach with Scoops and Beans. The establishment features a diverse menu that includes over 20 flavors of ice cream, two sherbets, and two sorbets. Prices start at $3.99 for a single scoop, with options to add toppings like crushed Oreos or indulge in sundaes, milkshakes, and floats.
On the coffee front, Scoops and Beans doesn’t disappoint, offering drip coffee, espresso drinks, cold brew, and matcha. Customers can personalize their drinks with various syrups and enjoy fruit-flavored matcha lattes.
Among the favorites so far are the affogato—espresso poured over ice cream—and the irresistible sweet and salted caramel pretzel ice cream.
Operating from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with flexibility for customers still in line after closing time, Scoops and Beans aims to create a welcoming environment for all. The shop provides indoor seating, complemented by dog-friendly outdoor seating with picnic tables and umbrellas. Romanov ensures even furry friends feel welcome with complimentary pup cups.
“I’m thrilled to become part of the vibrant Surfside Beach community,” Romanov expressed. “Expect nothing but the best from Scoops and Beans.”
Whether seeking a morning pick-me-up or an evening treat, Scoops and Beans promises to satisfy cravings with quality and charm.
