Evansville’s Ice Cream Fest Delights Attendees with Family Fun and Sweet Treats

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Ice Cream Fest kicked off with excitement at the Old National Events Plaza, in collaboration with Explore Evansville, showcasing a variety of activities and treats for families on Wednesday.

The event, held both indoors and outdoors, featured food trucks, vendors, and a plethora of activities including a rock wall, bounce house, dunk tank, coloring wall, a kid-size train, and interactive games.

Ginger Harper, Director of Marketing for Old National Events Plaza, emphasized the festival’s goal of ensuring a great time for all attendees and promoting downtown Evansville as a destination.

“We want people from all over the region to discover downtown Evansville and what it has to offer. We love hearing that people have driven three hours to attend the festival because they love ice cream,” Harper stated. “Our aim is to provide everyone with a fantastic experience and to increase awareness of downtown Evansville.”

Due to its success, organizers have announced plans to move Ice Cream Fest to Saturday from its initial Wednesday slot.
