HAMILTON — Aglamesis Bros. Ice Cream and Chocolate is preparing to open its first new location in over 50 years. The new store is slated to debut within the next 30 days on Main Street in Hamilton, with the marquee sign already installed.
Randy Young, president and CEO of Aglamesis Bros., described the renovation of the former Village Parlor as a challenging process due to contractor and supply delays. Despite these obstacles, Young praised city officials for their support, noting their assistance in overcoming the hurdles.
In July, Aglamesis Bros. announced the expansion of its regional presence with this new location. The shop, located in the Davis Building at the northwest corner of D and Main Streets, is positioned in a burgeoning area of the city’s urban core. Recent developments in the vicinity include the opening of The 513 Bar earlier this year, and True West and Rossville Flats, which opened nearly a year ago.
The new Hamilton store will join the chain’s existing locations at 3046 Madison Road in Oakley and 9899 Montgomery Road in Montgomery.
