McDonald’s is enhancing its menu for plant-based consumers by introducing two new vegan ice cream flavors: Choco Scoop and Strawberry Scoop.
Currently, these dairy-free treats are available only at select McDonald’s locations in the UK. However, early feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, raising hopes for a potential launch in the United States.
On social media platform Reddit, one customer praised the new ice creams as “a cross between soft serve and regular ice cream” and expressed particular admiration for the chocolate flavor. Another user described the chocolate version as tasting “like a cold chocolate mousse” and noted it was “very tasty.”
Additionally, a third customer highlighted that the vegan ice creams are served in tubs, eliminating concerns about the common problem of malfunctioning ice cream machines.
The trial for the Choco Scoop and Strawberry Scoop is scheduled to conclude on September 3. Many are eagerly awaiting news on whether these vegan options will soon be available in the US market.
