HAMILTON, Ohio – Iconic Cincinnati-based ice cream company Aglamesis Brothers has opened its first new location in 54 years, marking a significant expansion for the 116-year-old brand. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the grand opening of the new shop in downtown Hamilton, which drew a crowd of eager customers lining up down the street.
The new Aglamesis Brothers ice cream parlor is located at the corner of Main and D streets, occupying the space formerly held by the Village Parlor Ice Cream Shop. Hamilton city officials had actively worked to bring the beloved company to town, believing it would be a great fit for the community and help bolster local business.
Speaking at the event, Randy Young, President and CEO of Aglamesis Brothers, emphasized the company’s commitment to becoming an integral part of Hamilton.
“Our philosophy is that our ice cream parlors become part of the community. We want to become Hamiltonians. We’re not here as visitors or guests. We’re here to become part of the city, to be active and contributing members of the community,” Young said.
In addition to the new Hamilton location, Aglamesis Brothers continues to operate its two long-standing stores in Oakley and Montgomery.
