Powell, Ohio — Johnson’s Real Ice Cream will further expand its presence in central Ohio with a new shop set to open in Powell next spring, owners announced on Wednesday. This upcoming location will mark the seventh overall for the popular ice cream brand and the fourth to open in just two years.
The new 1,400-square-foot shop will be located at 4290 Home Road in Powell and will feature both indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio for patrons to enjoy their treats.
Founded in Bexley in 1950, Johnson’s Real Ice Cream has grown to include locations in Dublin, New Albany, Canal Winchester, Grandview Heights, and Italian Village. The latter three shops opened between March and May of this year. According to a news release regarding the Powell opening, additional locations may be in development as the brand continues to grow.
