RAHWAY, NJ — It’s Delicious Ice Cream, a popular establishment owned by Rahway resident John Samsel, is organizing a fundraiser this Friday, October 18, to support a local teacher and her family.
Nicole Sugzda, a teacher at Franklin Elementary School, is facing a challenging time as her infant son, born in August, is currently receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He was diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a serious condition that requires ongoing medical attention.
The Sugzda family is encountering significant expenses related to their son’s care, prompting the Samsels to take action. A portion of the proceeds from It’s Delicious Ice Cream on Friday will be donated to assist the Sugzda family during this difficult time.
Community members are encouraged to visit It’s Delicious Ice Cream at 152 Central Ave. in Clark and announce their presence for the fundraiser to show support for the Sugzdas.
