In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, a North Carolina business is stepping up to support its community during a time of need.
Annie B’s Ice Cream, co-owned by Pete Brewer, is not only known for its sweet treats but also for its commitment to social impact. Brewer shared that the business was founded with a mission to provide employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring inclusivity within the workforce.
Now, in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Annie B’s is going even further. Brewer announced that 100% of the shop’s profits will be donated to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund, aiding efforts to rebuild and restore the community.
“Our goal has always been to give back, and this is a critical time for our community,” Brewer explained. Through this initiative, Annie B’s hopes to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by the storm while continuing to support their broader mission of inclusivity.
