EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — City Scoops Creamery, a beloved ice cream shop in the Metro East area, will close its Edwardsville location at 1100 IL-157 at the end of this month. The announcement was made via the shop’s social media channels.
The closure is attributed to “circumstances beyond our control,” according to the post. However, the owners emphasized that this is not a permanent farewell, stating, “We will see you later, as we are searching for a new location.” They reassured customers that while this chapter is ending, the spirit of their ice cream shop remains strong.
Fortunately, the creamery’s other two locations in the region—at 1018 Laurel St. in Highland and 300 Edwardsville Road in Troy—will continue to operate as usual.
